I came to Captain Curry branch at Dizengoff street to taste the indian street food flavours. Captain's Curry offers vegan food, vegetarian as well as fish, chicken, beef and seafoods. The food is fresh, daily made, meticulously by the recipe of the man who devoted his life to various spices. All main courses are based on green cardamom rice and dal thick orange lentils scented with fresh curry. There are other lovely dishes such as chicken wings, cucumber salad, chicken kofta and Lassi fresh fruit, yogurt and coconut milk.
Who is Captain Curry?
A hundred years ago was born Kapoor Khan, son of a spice merchant in New Delhi. When he was a baby, his parents noticed that the curious toddler was laughing at eugenia aromatica filled. He climbed up on bags of saffron from Persia and cried when it was gone. As he grew he decided to research all across the country colored spices. Khan became very famous as a spice merchants and was called Captain Curry - The undisputed king of spices. The captain wrote in his latest book:" Curry is a multi-language legal wisdom, the spices are sacred letters ... Respect Them".
They were all delicious. The exact blend of spices and flovours that made my Palate very satisfied.
I mostly enjoyed the Lassi, The wings, the Mushroom palak and the Birany lamb and chiken.
